CA Is having an earthqauke swarm from the Salton sea to the N. CA Coast.

Do you have an emergency evacuation kit setup? I went through the 1989 and 1994 CA quakes and I've always been prepared.

This? North of Napa Valley.

That's a damn lot of quakes in one area.

Big picture. These are all small.

All data comes from USGS, but just plotted out, as you noted, on AppleMaps instead of Google.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/quakewatch/id314600768
Apparently 99 cents. It runs on macs with an M-series CPU even if you purchase it for iphone/ipad.

I just take a screensnap, though clicking on any one event (pin) will get you the USGS page.

I probably got it while living in the bay area.

There may be websites that do similar things, but for obvious reasons, I haven't resorted to any of them.

Here's a map of 2.5 and above:

https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/?extent=16.88866,-135.43945&extent=55.17887,-54.49219&listOnlyShown=true

If these small earthquake swarms meant anything more than the usual grinding of plate tectonics we'd be predicting big earthquakes by now.

Best be safe and assume the big earthquakes might happen at any time and have a few days of drinking water and food that doesn't need refrigeration on hand.
