Lauren Boebert separates personal, private Twitter accounts in response to federal lawsuit

After being sued in federal court for allegedly violating free-speech rights, Rifle business owner Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., argues through her attorney the motion be denied because the allegations ignore the distinction between personal and private Twitter accounts.

Boebert was elected to represent Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District in 2020.

Bri Buentello, a former Democratic state representative based in Pueblo, brought legal action in January against Boebert after the Rifle Republican blocked her from accessing her Twitter account.

Buentello told the Post Independent on Tuesday that she originally told Boebert to resign following the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.

“I Tweeted that at 6 p.m. that day,” she said. Boebert was accused by some of potentially endangering other elected officials with her tweets that day. “I was blocked by 5 a.m. the next day.”

In the financial services world, if I have a twitter account, it's monitored and I'm prohibited from saying things like "y'all should buy this or that stock".
If I run CincyDem Financial Advisors...I can have a separate CincyDem twitter account but as soon as I talk about money, investments, insurance, the economy, anything that could be construed as a topic of financial opinion...it has to be turned over to compliance.

If she's going try this chit in the political world....that's fine but she better not be able to use her personal account for anything but cat pictures, family recipes, and videos about saving lost puppies. Political topics like....guns, freedom, the economy, abortion, voting rights, police violence, covid....etc etc etc...off limits. Basically everything.

So we'll see.

You can tell them apart, because on one, she praises Jesus, and on the other, she ... well, she praises Jesus on that one too.
