Per PoPville, V-22 Ospreys have been hanging around NW DC

Ospreys, the V-22 kind, are no strangers to this area. I can hear them coming up the Potomac River from Quantico from miles away. They are loud. I've seen them near the Pentagon. I don't know anything about how often they show up over NW DC. I was waiting for a bus right off I-395 after dark, when one flew over. The rotor tips had a green glow.

but they don't normally fly over NW DC. I live here. It's disconcerting.

Not sure about the Ospreys but there is some finger pointing over the other low flying helicopters used to disperse protesters. Army said it's the DC National Guard doing it. Pentagon claims that even though Active Duty Army soldiers are here, they are not doing any law enforcement actions or getting close to protesters...yet.
