D.C.-area forecast: Outstanding October weather continues as we warm into midweek.

Today’s daily digit
A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10.

8/10: Another fine fall day, slightly warmer than yesterday despite some afternoon clouds.

Express forecast

Today: Partly sunny, pleasant. Highs: Mid-60s.
Tonight: Increasing clouds, milder. Lows: Upper 40s to low 50s.
Tomorrow: Partly sunny. Highs: Near 70.

Forecast in detail
We add a couple of degrees to close out the weekend nicely, with even warmer weather on tap. High pressure protects us from a front to our northwest, keeping us dry and gradually warmer through midweek, with a mix of sun and clouds. We’re near 70 by tomorrow afternoon and could approach 80 midweek. I, for one, could get used to this.
