Peak fall foliage persists through a gorgeous weekend in the Washington area.
It feels more like early October than November this weekend, but that just means conditions are about perfect to be outdoors gawking at some leaves.
The D.C. area now ranges from past peak to near peak foliage. Colors are the most vivid along the Interstate 95 corridor and to the east. While you may need to look a little harder for a full display, given significant leaf drop, there are undoubtedly plenty of awesome scenes around.
Youll want to grab the sunglasses and polarizing filters for your camera on your way out, as bright sunshine rules through the weekend and beyond.

Comfortable warmth continues for days under generally sunny skies
Patchy morning fog and clouds, if there are any, should dissipate quickly.
