3. Has anybody knocked on their door lately?

Must be using the balcony for storage. Those apartments can feel pretty small

Old dead trees can be dangerous if they catch on fire or something like that.

Again - good point regarding possibility of fire.

A carelessly tossed cigarette from a balcony above could create quite a hazard.

I've got neighbours who use a shared balcony above me, and consistently drop unextinguished cigarettes that land on my porch out front (ground floor) - one still burning as it landed between my feet as I sat in my old chair outside.

If I was the landlord there, I would get right on that.
