(22,456 posts)...there's no doubt that the effects of climate change started years ago and are only now becoming obvious to people who don't pay much attention to these things.
The scientists who actually monitor this stuff have been trying to tell us about it for decades but it's only just beginning to get past the point of deniability in our day-to-day experiences.
It's a shame, if we had simply listened to the people who did try to alert us, we could have begun the transition away from fossil fuels much sooner and easier, and more importantly, we could have avoided the even worse damage that these past few years of increased CO2 emissions will have over the coming years.
