DeSantis refuses state of emergency for Tampa Bay red tide despite 1,200 tons of dead fish

Despite pleas from the city of St. Petersburg, environmentalists and activists, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis doubled down Wednesday and again refused to declare a state of emergency for Tampa Bay's ongoing red tide.

More than 1,200 tons of dead fish have been pulled from the waters off St. Petersburg and incinerated, according to Mayor Rick Kriseman's office.

DeSantis said his office is committed to working with the community to fight the red tide, but argued that
a state of emergency would hurt businesses by sending the message that "Florida has problems."

2. Scoop up the carcasses and deliver them ALL to his mansion.

Let him ignore the problem as the rot and maggots turn from unpleasant to disgusting to a disease carrying horde of biblical proportions...and be sure to film his worthless ass suffering through it for the rest of us to enjoy.

6. If DeSantis says nothing is wrong

Then nobody will notice the piles of rotting fish!

Tourists will visit and never know.

Isn't DeSantis a genius?

8. Gee dude...

...the fact that "Florida Man" is the generally accepted synonym for a fucking idiot, a skyscraper down there just collapsed without any assistance from terrorists, and there are TWO AND A HALF MILLION POUNDS OF DEAD FISH ROTTING ON THE BEACHES OF TAMPA BAY RIGHT NOW would tend to suggest Florida has problems and the biggest of those problems lives in the Governor's Mansion.
