Florida Gov. DeSantis expands state of emergency to 49 counties - MSNBC Reports

As Hurricane Idalia nears landfall in Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis expanded the state of emergency to include three additional counties bringing the total to 49 counties under the executive order. - Aired on 08/29/2023 - 5PM ET.

I met a couple from Florida - South of Tampa - who are vacationing here in the North Country and they said they have no plans to return home anytime soon - so far they've missed two hurricanes in their area!
