Orlando is very slowly becoming a true big city

$1400 a month for a studio apartment. Near where I grew up.

That is on or very near a lumber yard I played around on as a kid. Truly, you can't go home again.

Yea, yea, I know, it can't hold a candle to NYC or Miami or even Tampa yet. Notice I said "slowly becoming".

you show would not have that bedroom bit in it--the person would be expected to sleep on the couch in the living area, the bathroom would be smaller, and the total square footage would be much, much less--and the price would be well more than double! And that's in (crappy) Charlestown, which looks tony but is what one would call a "neighborhood in transition" and has been for many years now (i.e. even if you have a doorman, you still need extra locks on your doors and windows!).

I haven't looked at NYC prices lately but I know they're off the charts--pure craziness! You have to go to the outskirts to find anything affordable...and then you have to deal with a commute!
