Florida man accused of trying to get a handgun through Bradley Airport (Conn) security

A Florida man was arraigned Wednesday in Enfield Superior Court on a felony charge of circumventing security at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks in July.

According to state police, the man, William H. Gammons, 36, of St. Petersburg, was transporting a 9mm Ruger handgun in his backpack, which he tried to get through a Transportation Security Administration X-ray machine at the airport on July 1.

Found along with the gun were 14 9mm rounds, two 9mm magazines, and a magazine base plate, state police said.

Gammons was taken into custody and transported to the Troop H facility at the airport, state police said.

2. Considering that those who have gotten guns through

airport security while testing said security, this is actually an encouraging story. Someone *didn't* get guns through security. How amazing is that?
