A head's up: There is a FL Constitution Committee and Frank Kruppenbacher is on the Commission

Though there is a good reason behind the process, and it appears to be part of our State Constitutional procedure to allow citizens to provide feedback for revisions in the Constitution, I suggest giving it some sunshine just to be on alert for some back channel moves.

Right now one of the recommendations seems to be moving in the right direction: Restoring felon voting rights.

But I suggest someone keep an eye on whatever pops in the future.

IMHO, a thorough review of government procedure where this attorney has been part of the legal reasoning has come up with results that fall short of proper due diligence. Still trying to sift through the mess that happened in Winter Springs during the nineties.

(This is just a for instance) GOP isn't going to want to allow restoring felon voting rights, unless they get something in return that can offset the losses at the voting booth. (My opinion) I am especially thinking about whatever negotiations resulted in the Frankensteined gerrymandered district that set up one minority seat, in return for strongholds for the GOP just about everywhere else. It was deemed unconstitutional by the Court, but not before the damage was done.

And I'm just saying, Mr. Kruppenbacher is a strong GOP leaning political attorney, so, we may be saying rah-rah for restoring felon voting rights, but be on the look out for what we are going to give up in return.
