5 people killed after 2 shootings in Appling, Georgia, suspect at large
APPLING, GA. — Five people have been killed in two separate shootings in Appling, Georgia, according to media reports.
The county coroner confirmed that five people are dead following two shootings that may be connected.
The Augusta Chronicle reports that three were shot in one location and two others were shot at a nearby subdivision. Four victims were pronounced dead at the scene and the fifth died on the way to the hospital.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office says they believe that this is the work of one gunman.
