Georgia's cases increase 50%, so why don't these maps show it?

In just 15 days the total number of #COVID19 cases in Georgia is up 49%, but you wouldn’t know it from looking at the state’s data visualization map of cases. The first map is July 2. Changing the color code numbers is a great way to manipulate the data in their favor.

at Legend, one can tell it’s a substantial increase. Would be a lot easier to just display statewide cases per 100K on 7/2 and 7/17 at bottom.

Anyone know where that’s actually from?

CV19 could be spread by those asymptomatic. I honestly don’t think they are smart enough to finagle the data.

It's been used to hide many sins.

ETA: To be scrupulously fair, it's likely that they defined the color key as something like 10%, 20%, etc. of the maximum value, regardless of whether the maximum value changed. In hindsight, obviously not the best way to do it.
