Early voting begins Monday for Columbus runoff election

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Voters in Columbus will have another chance to decide local and statewide races in an upcoming runoff election.

Early voting starts Monday, June 8, and runs through Friday, June 12. The only location open for early voting in Columbus will be the City Services Center.

There are three local races in this year’s runoff election Tuesday, June 16. For mayor, Joanne Cogle faces Isaiah Hugley. In District 7, Laketha Ashe is running against Rebecca Zajac. In District 9, John Anker is running against Cathy Cook.

“We are actually deploying the same amount of equipment to this runoff that we did for the primary and that’s very unusual for runoff,” Boren said.
