inauguration. Along with them went a copy of our world record breaking largest high school newspaper ever produced. It was a fine piece of work also. When I graduated two years later, we had won the National Scholastic Achievement award for the best high school newspaper in the country, for the 13th year in-a-row. The paper was presented to Carter. He signed it and sent it back.

How sad would it be if we had our band going again, looking at how far we've fallen? That trip was planned far in advance and the band would could proudly, but perhaps not quite as proudly, gone in honor of President Ford as well.
