to vote with your current name, at your current address, by 25 days
before Election Day. The last day to pre-register to vote for the November 6, 2012
general election is October 12, 2012. Election Day registration is also available.

2. WHAT TO BRING
Voters are required to show a valid photo ID when voting at the polls or at the
absentee polling place. Valid ID includes:
• An Idaho driver’s license or photo ID card
• A passport or ID Federal photo ID card
• A tribal photo ID card
• A current student photo ID, issued by an Idaho high school or post-secondary
education institution
You can also register at the polls on Election Day by providing proof of residence, as
well as a photo ID. To learn more about what documents you will need to
register on Election Day, visit www.sos.idaho.gov.

3. VOTE!
Election Day is Tuesday November 6, 2012. Polls in Idaho will be
open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mountain Time.

Vote by Mail
Idaho has no-excuse absentee voting. Your mail-in absentee ballot application must be
received by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. You can still
cast an in-person absentee ballot for the General Election at your polling place until
5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012.
