Bruce Rauner (Li'l Mitt) has put $11 million of his own money into his Il governor campaign.

I wonder why he needs to do that? Not enough of his rich buddies share his confidence? I can't help thinking that if he really had a chance to win there'd be rethuglican donors falling over themselves to put down deposits on future favors.

If he doesn't need their money they don't like him, like Peter Fitzgerald. They can't control him if he doesn't need their money. This is in no way any kind of endorsement of Rauner.
