(7,888 posts)First of all AngryDemocrat, "a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet"? Not sure I've quoted the Bard word for word. I don't get angry. I work for progress, not some glorified, John Wayne, Ronald Reagan repeat of the past.
My roots on this continent predate the American Revolution. Much of my family's word of mouth history has been documented. Like my father, I now find myself ashamed of the treatment Native Americans received from our Pilgrims.
I don't celebrate Thanksgiving. In addition, everyone knows that our so called founding fathers also had a profit motive? My family, Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution prefer a fact based review of our history.
Libertarians do support an end to the drug wars, and protecting my right to privacy. For that I am grateful. As for contacting Illinois to support Democratic causes, that's a stretch, imho.
PS: Thank providence it was not Chinese Green Tea that received the heave ho.

"Hug the thugs all you want"? Do you refer to the mean spirited Republicans like Senators John McCain and Mitch McConnell?
I'm standing up. Perhaps we march to a different drummer? Are some standing up because Republicans have been marginalizing Libertarians?
