Riding around Oak Lawn this morning, I traveled back in time so completely that I thought my bike would turn into the watermelon green Schwann stingray I got for my first communion in 1967.

3. '60s Chicago 'burbs. I may have to take a tour of my Elmhurst neighborhood sometime.

Much of the downtown has changed a great deal. and the housing on the far north side has gotten the teardown treatment, but I think my old Brynhaven neighborhood near the Ike interchange is mostly going to be about the same. Not unlike the pics in the top row.
My main recall of Oak Lawn is the "Oak Lawn Jazz Festival" at the high school there in the 70s.
