Not sure I want to see Greenfield again, but we need someone to be working to rise opposition to Grassley.
His age has been cited as a big detriment in the next election.

(33,085 posts)We live in Illinois, not far from the Iowa border. In past years, we have traveled to Iowa and knocked on doors. This year, we just could not risk that.
The poster above you wrote about some of the very vocal endorsements of those on the left. That is indeed a factor. It turns off people in my area, too. Those on the left need to realize that they are very polarizing in this part of the country.

(19,878 posts)but I also think that a lot of people who don't usually vote crawled out from under their rocks to vote for that orange pustule and took the others along on the ride. Our tiny town usually has about 55-60% turnout. It was 87% this time.
