(24,097 posts)but I wanted to say something.
The White Supremacists here in our country, starting with shithole and the Republican party (although they take their shot, vaccines, medications, et al.) including RFK, jr. advocate against medical use of these items of any kind and duly approved pesticides.
Therefore in reality, they are killing off their own cult. Think about that.

It is like they enjoy watching them suffer and die.

Chris Jones seems to be making some headway into that zombie cult that accepts this.
I am so hoping his crusade on water will end in a victory for him as Ag Secretary.
Then he will probably have to battle the legislature most of whom owe their position to the Farm Bureau.

A close friend of mine just died of cancer in the past week. I have no doubt the reason was living in the country

Wow their cancer rates are among the highest in the nation ... and it's mostly from exposure to nitrogen fertilizers.

(4,197 posts)They are strictly forbidden to discuss potential causes of the high cancer rates.
When someone said "It's the nitrates in the water from pig and corn farms" the woman said I cannot comment on that.
this is a professional health researcher with the flagship university of the state of Iowa under a gag order when she is supposed to be doing public outreach.
I am sickened every time I think about how this will affect me and my children.
My mother in law has had 4 different types of unreleated cancers -- she has lived near a plastics manufacturer that dumped stuff into groundwater in northwest Ohio, downwind from paper mills in NC, along the ohio river near the WV/PA borders where all the runoff from coal mines and stuff from Pittsburgh down was dumped into the river, and then Indiana.
And now for 13 years -- we have lived in this unregulated cess pool of pig shit -- that really is all that Iowa is at this point. I giant cess pool of pig shit.
