How can that be? She's crazy, crazy, crazy.
Someone tell me she can't win a statewide election...please!

(62,415 posts)I think Ernst peaked in August, while Braley hit his low.
Braley has been hitting Ernst hard, particularly on wanting to privatize SS and Medicare. That in a state that has one of the oldest populations in the country.
Ernst so far seems to be a stuck record with some bullshit ads about Braley missing some committee votes.
But as always we need to GOTV.

Turnout is our best weapon. Larger numbers voting is usually good for our side!

(62,415 posts)definite outlier in almost every race they are polling. They changed their modeling and thus have changed their results dramatically.
can't find the story.

(1,706 posts)Of course the rural areas have lots of Ernst and Branstad/Reynolds signs. But Cedar Falls seems much more purple than what I saw in Marshalltown - very few Dem signs.
Something else I was pondering as I was driving along: Ernst's signs have "joni" in big letters, and "Ernst" (note capitalization) in smaller, whereas the Braindead signs don't have the first names. Why? I would say it's a female thing, maybe, but Jane Jech's signs have first and last names about equal.
