Just returned from a Sanders event

Sanders very straight forward , covered many of the usual issues like jobs, wages, TPP, etc.. Got questions on SS, "death" taxes, Pentagon spending. I asked about media and consolidation. Got a real long answer.

had about 100. very intimate. Felt like we were talking adult to adult in a conversation.
Bernie does have quite a quick wit also. Funny guy.

1. Hope he gets out west this summer too.

Saw Martin O'Malley a few weeks ago. Can't wait to hear Bernie.

2. I attended the IC event==a perfect venue.

Farmer's market was full-out flourishing, and 100 yards away was the Rec Center where Bernie spoke. No on-the-ground effort at the market (before or after) to promote Bernie. This suggests a fledgling campaign that should have been in close contact with IC Dems to coordinate the event. While I and 500 others turned it (and the event needed a bigger venue), it could have easily been twice that many with a solid ground game. I know folks at the organizational level of this and it was definitely a learning experience for them. I can envision a 1000 plus crowd at the next event. Bernie directly addressed every populist issue--except for immigration and Dreamers. Need to hear much more on that.

3. The crowd in IC was pegged at 1100

and you can tell the Sanders folks are all green at this game.

Over the top turnouts everywhere for Bernie. 200+ in Dave Johnson's backyard Friday night.
