Anyone have strong feelings about either Secretary of State primary candidate?

Paul Pate has always seemed like a smug asshole to me, so I hope we can replace him this fall. It looks like we have two good candidates, difficult to decide between the two. I know which way I'm leaning, but would appreciate your opinions.

Here are links to both candidates web sites:

Deidre DeJear: https://www.dejearforiowa.com/

Jim Mowrer: https://jimforiowa.com/meet-jim/

Voted for Mowrer probably only because of name recognition from his past campaigns.
I would like to see Pate sent packing and feel name recognition may be a factor.

I believe Pate was integral to the voter suppression bill in Iowa. Yet, when he went before a group of students from DMACC he couldn't answer questions about the law. He was corrected on some items by students.
I have seen the video of that encounter, but can't find it.

Pate needs to go.

I too ended up voting for Mowrer. It was basically a flip of the coin for me.
