King responds to Scholten debate challenge (email from Scholten campaign)

Steve King doesn't do public appearances, he won't hold Town Halls, he refuses to participate in debates, and he’s absent from the Farm Bill Conference Committee. His treats his job with the same level of respect that he shows the people of this district: "Meh."

In contrast, J.D. Scholten holds public appearances every day and, to show how a representative should be available to the people, J.D. is currently in the midst of a 39 county, 39 Town Hall tour (his third 39-county tour of the district). The tour is called, "You Can't Fake Showing Up." You deserve to have representatives that work as hard as you do. Show your support for J.D. with a contribution today!

Steve King doesn’t want to debate because he doesn’t have an explanation for his six expensive taxpayer-funded trips to visit far-right leaders in Austria over the last six years, or his lack of concern over our growing healthcare crisis. He also doesn’t want J.D.’s message to get out. Steve King practices politics of division and stands in opposition to J.D.’s vision of a healthcare system, an economy, and a government that works for all of us.
