Greg Orman for senate

As many of you know, Greg Orman (multi, multi millionaire) has announced he's running for the U.S. senate in Kansas, as an independent.
You may remember Greg. He ran for senate 6 years ago as a democrat. His campaign 6 years ago lasted about 2 weeks. He dropped out because "the time wasn't right".
Now, I'm hearing that he has 70 or 80 "mainstream, well known" republican's and democrats who are supporting him. I've heard from one of these "mainstream" democrats that they believe they can get our candidate, Chad Taylor, to drop out.
What are you hearing?

Heck, I thought he was running in Missouri.

I remember some rich carpetbagger they wanted to tap, but that may have been 2010 too. 2008 I thought we had Slattery.

I hope Taylor doesn't drop out. How does it help Davis to not have a Democratic Senate candidate?

With his meager fundraising, Chad Taylor is virtually assured of losing in November. Taylor can't expect the DSCC or their aligned SuperPAC's to bail him out as they already have their hands full this cycle.

An Orman/Roberts campaign opens up a new front, taking pressure off the DSCC. Now their GOP counterpart, the NRSC will suddenly have to play defense in a seat they never had on their radar.

Plus we might need Orman's vote after the November elections to maintain control of the Senate.

Orman's people were talking about getting the democratic candidate to drop out back in may. The "money" democrats were working with Orman before he announced. Trouble is, they didn't tell Chad about it. Why do you think he had so much trouble raising money? Orman is probably better than Roberts, but I think Chad got fucked and thrown under the Orman bus. Orman's "common sense coalition" sure wants to do something about "entitlements". Lot of that has been scrubbed. I just hope MY ss doesn't get hosed. Orman is so vague on most of the issues, I sure hope the Democratic money people got some assurances before signing on.
