Related: About this forumMAGA Backfire! Kentucky Teachers Regret Supporting Trump - The Logical Leftist
Kentucky teachers who backed Donald Trump are now staring down the barrel of deep education funding cuts to their own classrooms, jobs, and students. In this video, I break down how MAGAs small government and tax cuts for the rich translate directly into layoffs, larger class sizes, and gutted public schools in states like Kentucky.
Well walk through how Trump and Republicans sold themselves as champions of working people while pushing an agenda that drains money from public education to fund billionaire tax breaks, police, prisons, and border militarization. The same educators who voted for Trump are now watching their districts slash programs, freeze hiring, and quietly push privatization schemes and vouchers.

(705 posts)2. I love teachers. My whole family is in education. But they gotta be dumb to think tax cuts for the rich......
...........isn't going to hurt them.

(13,958 posts)3. Republicans hate them
Republicans on RW media have openly hated and demeaned teachers for over 20 years (I remember Limbaugh was always hammering on teachers). One would think educated people would have a little more sense, supporting education was what got Andy Beshear barely elected for his first term over a well-known crook. Red States have people with such short memories, probably because of their preachers. (I am a Kentuckian, so I am not criticizing people I haven't been around my whole life). Yes, FAFO.
