Parish-wide millage renewals all pass election, giving Lafourche flexibility in reform efforts

Lafourche Parish voters voted to renew all of the parishwide millages during Saturday’s election, providing some stability to the parish’s future.

Voters passed all 3 of the parishwide millages – continuing funding for the parish’s health unit, recreation and public buildings.

Proposition 1 – a 0.83 mill renewal supporting the Parish’s Public Health Units passed with 58% of the voters voting YES of the 75% of total ballots cast.

Proposition 2 – a 1.67 mill renewal supporting the Parish’s Recreation department passed with 60% of the voters voting YES of the 75% of total ballots cast.

Proposition No. 3 – a 2.52 mill renewal supporting the parish’s Public Buildings passed with 56% of the voters voting YES of the 75% of total ballots cast.
