Louisiana officials respond to released recordings of Donald Trump's 'offensive and indefensible' statements

Only U.S. Rep. Ralph Abraham, R-Alto, responded to a request for comment.

“Donald Trump's comments are offensive and indefensible," Abraham said. "I would never want either of my daughters or my granddaughters spoken about or treated in that way. (Mike) Pence to lead our party to victory in November for the good of the country."

U.S. Majority Whip Steve Scalise, of Jefferson; Republican congressmen Garret Graves, of Baton Rouge, John Fleming, of Minden; and Sen. David Vitter, of Metairie, did not respond to calls, emails and text messages to multiple members of their staffs.
