Social Security, Medicare and other safety nets

The republicans seem to feel the entitlements need to be cut or reduced. I admit it is a big expense for this country. No one wants to talk about the long term effects of the loss or reductions. Yes they say retirees and those close to retirement would not be effected. I would like to know the effects of these cuts twenty too thirty years from now. Is this just another way of kicking the can down the road and if the door is opened will the republicans only accelerate the process if they get back in power.

the right have tried to destroy social security since its inception-not many realize why-when I was 17 my boss a wise man who came out of retirement (he's in the who's who of engineering was chief engineer of new york) to help his daughter and her family whose husband had a stroke! said to me to save my money because there was so much money in the ss fund that I would be forced to retire at 50-he also told me that big business didn't like that money out of circulation because it was protected and they couldn't touch it! well they found a way-like borrowing from it in budgets etc, and you See the results today.
the first thing the public needs to know is that your tax money(municipal, state and federal) all ends up in business transactions! and that is what makes the world go around!
business is now moving away from making a product to simply being an importer! a banker,a lender etc. and you know that takes less workers! hence lower wages, less benefits etc. but any one who can think will realize less people with money to buy the imports-higher risk borrowers and eventual collapse of the system.
we are close to that now! when our generation go who will fight for the common man?
I see to many distracted with debt,Ipads, tablets and make believe to realize until to late they have been had!
