Hogan lifts restrictions: Capacity limits removed at Maryland restaurants, bars, stores, churches

Last edited Thu Mar 11, 2021, 01:13 PM - Edit history (1)

The governor says the removal of restrictions, which have been in place since March 2020, will begin Friday, March 12 at 5 p.m.

"All of our vaccine progress along with all of our sustained positive improvements have enabled us to continue to follow the science and to be able today to take significant steps to further ease more of the mitigation measures currently in place," Hogan said.

Capacity limits will be lifted on:

Indoor/outdoor dining
Retail stores
Religious facilities
Fitness centers
Personal services
Casinos
Bingo halls
Bowling alleys
Skating rinks
Restaurants and bars will still be limited to seated service only, and masks and social distancing remain required in all public spaces. The lifting of restrictions starting Friday are just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, Easter and Passover holidays.

Masks and social distancing remain required in all public spaces.

UD as of last week had over 200 students quarantined in our local hotels, over 400 quarantined in private houses, and no specific number of how many are quarantined in dorms.
Campus is so close to Elkton, MD, that you could spit from here to there. Pretty sure they’ll see our numbers going up even higher. 😞

I've just been getting takeout. Stores are still risky but at least people wear masks here in DC.

We can always tell when the Trumpsters are in town for a protest because they'll be walking about maskless and packed into whatever bars and restaurants will let them. There's not much masking or social distance at the Bible museum, for example.
