Motorists are advised the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration

(MDOT SHA) will perform routine nightly maintenance on the MD 4/Gov. Thomas Johnson Bridge over the Patuxent River starting on Sunday, July 11 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Crews will direct traffic using a flagging operation. Work is expected to be completed by Friday, July 16, weather permitting.

Drivers are urged to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes.
