If you live near Elkton MD, my sister's pottery co-op holds a charity event called "Empty Bowls"

Excellent soup and bread from local restaurants and a free hand made bowl (many are absolutely beautiful). The co-op works all year making hundreds of bowls.

Friday, October 3. 4:30-8:00. 138 West Main St., Elkton MD, Art Space.

I think it costs $10

My sister is an amazing person with a heart as big as the world.

They've been putting on this Empty Bowls event for a number of years here. http://ppna.org/peb/ It's a cool thing. Kudos to your sister for doing this.

It is a national event. My mother's church has participated. I attended, loved it and took home a wonderful bowl. My bowl is quite eccentric and charming, and I love it because it is so unusual -- truly one of a kind. I cherish it.

Thanks to your sister.

Just asked hubby if we can put it on the calendar. We're in Newark, DE, so just across the line. I'll spread the word to my friends/family.
