Every time I see Baker on TV, I feel a combination of mild nausea, vague anxiety and a tinge

Then, it worsens and continues to worsen, even after he's off the screen.

I really don't want to go through this for the next four years. I hope I get some kind of immunity, as when your body reacts to a nasty new med, but then adjusts.


Anyone else having a physical reaction to this lower end version of Mitt?



With all the institutions of higher learning in Massachusetts, how did they make the same mistake twice?

I fear that Dems in the Mass. legislature have drifted right as well, so there won't be as many veto overrides as we had with Mitt. If so, Baker will be even worse than Mitt. Actually, I think Baker may be worse than Mitt anyway, except maybe on social issues.

Wish we had a recall provision!

We need to contact our State House people and let them know we are counting on them to stand as strong with Baker as they did with Romney, if not more so. I wonder if a petition would do it.

See, if we were Republicans, we'd use churches to spread the word. I keep saying that Democrats need to construct some kind of secular equivalent of that. Learning centers, social centers, something by which we could communicate with, and mobilize, each other in 24-48 hours around some form of activism.

Politically, I don't think you'll find a better state than Massachusetts. Senators Kerry and Kennedy for God knows how many years, a brief hiccup for the nude centerfold idiot, then Warren and Markey. A dang good House delegation, too, and a state legislature that has been over 90% Dem for a good while. Went Blue for every Presidential since Ike, with the exception of Reagan. (I think that was the only exception, but there might be one more. Sorry, too tired to think tonite.)

Where you gonna find that combination?

Governor as much as it chooses to do so.

Romney issued over 300 vetoes a year, on average. The legislature overrode most of them. When they didn't override, it was because some Dems went red.
