1. Well, they were coming back from opening day at Fenway, enroute to a charity thing.

The first assumption is that beers were consumed, as they are at ball games.

The first question is who was driving? The news said an aide. The Globe says so too.

I think it's news. Maybe not banner headline, stop the presses, news, but when a public official is involved in a car accident, it merits reporting. GLOBE stuck it in the METRO section--that's an appropriate place for it, I think.

The two vehicles did make contact before Brown's car hit that pole:

The two vehicles collided, but it was not clear who hit whom in the 8:28 p.m. accident, said Dennis Sulinski, a Dedham police dispatcher. Neighbors said the Jeep struck a telephone pole.

Mitt Romney got in a car accident in France when he was a missionary. He was driving, and his passenger, his boss, was killed. Many--indeed most--people don't even know about that. It's a matter of public record, in any event, as is this accident.

They typically run four or five stories for state, national and world news on line. That was one of them.

3. Would You Feel the Same if the Accident Involved Elizabeth Warren?

I find plenty of stuff to be miffed about everyday but the newspaper article about Brown's accident doesn't rise to that level for me.

the traffic-tie-up after the police arrived to do the investigation.

You should know this by now. The Globe ignores news, the Herald makes it up.

How's the main story / front page / editorial stuff from the Globe these days? Lived north of Boston for 20 years, used to love the Globe as a part of my morning.
