MA's Coronavirus Vaccine Shipment Not Coming This Week.

That'll sure mess up the vaccine appointment scheduling. (Presuming it can be messed up any further than it already is...)

This week's shipment of coronavirus vaccine doses from the federal government has been delayed and won't arrive until Monday, a potential problem for those even with vaccination appointments.

The state's Coronavirus Command Center said the winter weather and staffing shortages for vaccine manufacturers are contributing to the delay.

Baker said earlier Thursday he may send the National Guard to retrieve vaccines from Kentucky and Tennessee.

They said due to weather so though fine here, getting it here is the issue.

That's what I was alluding to.

If the site already can't deal with the volume of people seeking appointments, what's going to happen when this new wrench is thrown in the works and we aren't getting the shipments they've been planning on in setting the schedules?

The transport problems are concerning, but relatively easily worked-around if the National Guard can help out. (Presuming they have cold chain capability). Staffing shortages at the manufacturer might be a bigger long-term problem. I guess that part would depend on what kind of staff they need.

His most important job this month has been offering apologies to the botched vaccine roll outs.
