Gordie Howe Bridge lights will be turned on for testing




(Detroit Free Press) Will the Gordie Howe bridge light up the night?

Not yet. But expect some lights on the bridge to shine for testing required at the end of construction.

About 95% of construction is done, and part of the construction is testing bridge systems including the lights, Windsor Detroit Bridge Authority Spokesperson Manny Paiva confirmed.

Though lights may be on and off this summer, the bridge connecting the U.S. and Canada is not expected to open until this fall. An exact date is not set. ....................(more)
