Worker Fired for Making Laxative-Laced Brownies for Sendoff
If you're a fan of the show "The Office," you might expect the character Dwight Schrute to pull off such a stunt and keep his job.
But in this case, a 47-year-old Adrian woman lost her job after police determined she put laxatives in a departing co-worker's going-away brownies at MMI Engineered Solutions in Saline, reports Darcie Moran of MLive.
Police were called to the company May 3 after an employee tipped bosses that the woman planned to put laxatives in brownies she was bringing to a sendoff party.
The company confiscated the baked goods before anyone ate them. The woman first denied putting laxatives in the mix, but confessed when told they would be forensically tested.
No charges were filed.
