I thought the hazy sunrises and sunsets in Michigan this week were cool until I learned that they are caused by smoke from western wildfires. We need to take climate change seriously and stop destroying our planet.

I tried to take a pic last night (cheap phone, so I didn't get a good pic); the sun was so vivid.

Not only is the population doubling, at least we Americans are getting larger. CaptYossarian Sep 2020 #2

willfully ignorant jackasses. Yeah, Jesus will make it all better. I really can't understand how they think we're not killing the planet. The world population doubles every 40 years. How the hell do they think the planet can sustain that? Resources are finite and climate change is going to drown so many places. It's awful, but I'm glad I'm as old as I am and that I never had kids.

Eventually, this should have an effect on the Earth's gravity. It wouldn't be for a few generations, but it seems to be inevitable.

And what is the released carbon from these mega-fires doing to the present climate change? That would also get worse.

I don't doubt that the smoke from those states have hit Michigan. I seem to remember reading that ash from Mount St. Helens went around the Northern Hemisphere and arrived back in Washington again.

I'm sick of the American oil-garchs bribing the GOP to lie about our planet's future. Koch Industries run ALEC and are behind shadow groups like Club For Growth and Americans For Prosperity. This crap is a direct result of that damn Citizens United eff-up by the Supreme Court. It's our turn to stack the court and save all the species and the only home we've got.
