Democrats see political peril in replacing Minneapolis PD

A proposal on the Minneapolis ballot about the future of policing in the city where George Floyd was killed has divided Democrats. Many who oppose the measure believe calls to “defund” police cost the party seats in statehouses and Congress last year.

Of course, the AP has never seen a Republican talking point that it won't use as a headline.

And the only reason replacement is necessary is because its impossible to hold the current department accountable, so it has to be destroyed and rebuilt.
