Glad Terminal 1 at MSP is no longer named after Lindbergh

After watching the second installment of Ken Burns about the Holocaust. Still am shaking.

1. When did that change?

I flew into MSP in June for a Yankees/Twins game. I have a goal to see a ballgame at all third of the MLB parks. I am pretty sure I flew into the Lindbergh terminal but I could be mistaken.

2. Changed severl years ago to "prevent confusion"

Used to be Humphrey Terminal and Lindbergh terminal and changed to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. But some signs may retain the old names...

3. He received some sort of medal from the Nazis

before the war.

4. And throughout the war campaigned against the Jews - as detailed in the program

By the rime he spoke in Des Moines on Sept 11, 1941, he came out and blamed the Jews, the British and the Roosevelt administration as the ones pushing this country towards war. His speech was so hateful that he was denounced by everyone.

5. I've been meaning to watch that show on PBS

I hope they repeat it often.

6. It is very difficult to watch, especially the second installment

where the details of the killings in Eastern Europe - Latvia Poland Ukraine - are detailed. Wave after wave of people at a trench being shot and piles of bodies. All, amazingly enough, were recorded by the German soldiers themselves as souvenirs to show back home.

7. Ken Burns is a national treasure

and I thank him for telling the truth about the U.S. & the Holocaust. Things we were not taught in school.
