Will it never end? The DFL solicitations?

In the last month every day several emails from all the candidates wanting money, even two days before the elections? At least, I think that this is what they wanted. I never bothered to read them, just kept deleting and even later realized that I deleted some non junk ones.

So now a new one, in light of Whiny announcement, etc.

Give me a break!

I may tag them as spam so Comcast will automatically get them into the junk folder.

Spam dropped to near zero.

I use “alias email addresses “ to sign up for newsletters or sharing with my writing group. In this way, my main email is kept separate from the public.

want to read those emails anyway. I'm not some moron that has to be prompted, I can figure out on my own who to give to and how much and when and then I do it in one shot. I pick one or two candidates per election cycle and give a big donation to each and that's it.

As for the DFL itself, I've had spamming issues with them years ago. Finally got them to stop. I will never, ever give them another dime. Similarly the DCCC and the like. That's why I've settled on giving only to individual candidates and only one or two. As I mentioned above, I've had good luck with them honoring unsubscribe requests.

There's some baloney advice that if you respond in any way, including an unsubscribe, this proves you are a "live email address", and you'll just get more spam. Well they have plenty of ways to know whether an email address is active or not. And even that their emails don't bounce from your address is good enough -- anyway it costs them virtually nothing to send these things.

I have unsubscribed from tha national party long time ago and did not realize tha avalanche locally.

I, too, give only to individual candidates not to tha party.

Thanks.

the worst is you give to someone's campaign and they send tons of emails right after. You just gave! They seem to want to piss off people.
