Article by: KEVIN DIAZ , Star Tribune

WASHINGTON - Talking for the first time about her political future since she dropped out of the presidential race, Minnesota Republican Michele Bachmann said Wednesday that she is in the race to defend her seat in Congress.
"I am very thrilled to be in the position that I am today, and I am looking forward to continuing," Bachmann, now in her third term, told the Star Tribune. "Obviously we'll see what happens with these [redistricting] maps... But I do intend to run again."
~~~~~~~~
But even as she announced her plans to run again, Bachmann bristled at questions about her political ambitions, the presidential race, and her place in Congress. At one point a press aide interrupted the interview to say Bachmann wanted to talk only about President Obama's State of the Union address and district topics like the proposed St. Croix River crossing.
~~~~~~~~
"Michele Bachmann has done absolutely nothing for the people of Minnesota's Sixth District in the last year," Minnesota DFL Chairman Ken Martin said Wednesday. "Since September 2011, she has missed over 90 percent of the votes in Congress. Instead, she was flying around the country and catering to her Tea Party friends as part of her failed bid for president."

I do not remember once while she was running for president did she mention Minnesota and all the things she did for her district.
edit: The last paragraph of the article might be the best.

(146,288 posts)1. The Pioneer Press today did a story on this,
and one of the things they mentioned is that the redistricting map may actually include Bachmann's residence in the 4th CD. If that's the case, she'd be facing Betty McCollum, who won with 60% of the vote in 2010. I'm troubled that the official map won't be available in time for the precinct caucuses, even though it will be out before the District convention.
Betty could take her. Of that I have no doubt.

I thought that was a blank piece of paper.
The 6th remains unrepresented as long as Bachmann is the Rep there.
