1/23, No US Drones in Mali Vigil on Lake St/Marshal bridge 4:30-5:30

Peace Vigil: NO U.S. Drones in Mali; No U.S. Intervention in Mali
Wednesday, January 23 from 4:30 to 5:30 PM @ Lake Street Marshall Ave. bridge over the Mississippi River between Minneapolis & St. Paul.
The U.S. government is reported to be considering sending drones to support the intervention by France in the west African nation of Mali. The U.S. is also providing other support to this new western intervention as well. Drones are a growing part of U.S. intervention around the world. The U.S. has carried out extensive drone attacks in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen, leading to many civilian deaths. U.S. and western intervention, including drone strikes, don’t lead to peace, justice or democracy. On Wednesday, January 23, the organizers of the Weekly Peace Vigil on the Lake Street/Marshall Ave. bridge urge you to join in making a special statement against a growing danger of yet another U.S. military intervention. Organized by Women Against Military Madness and Twin Cities Peace Campaign. The January 23 vigil is co-sponsored by Anti-War Committee, Minnesota Peace Action Coalition, Occupy the Hood, Veterans for Peace and others. For more information 612 522-1861 or 612 827-5364.
