Program: Iraq Today: An Eyewitness Report
SPEAKERS: Steve Clemens and Kathy McKay
Steve Clemens and Kathy McKay, together with five other Americans, spent twelve days in Najaf, Iraq, in November of 2012. On the tenth anniversary of the second Gulf War, they will speak about their experience and the broader political reality in Iraq today.
Kathy McKay is the Director of the Iraqi and American Reconciliation
Project and a member of Women Against Military Madness. Steve Clemens, long time peace activist, also traveled to Iraq in 2002, shortly before the beginning of the war in 2002, and to Afghanistan in 2011 with Voices for Creative Nonviolence.
