Join us for a rally on March 15th to launch "15 Now" in Minnesota. Initiated in Seattle, 15Now.org is mobilizing in cities across the country to fight low wages and raise the minimum wage. Join us for a national day of action -- "March for $15 on March 15th!"

This event will bring together low-wage workers, union activists, immigrant rights organizers, faith and community leaders from across the Twin Cities. Full speakers list TBA.

In Minneapolis, nearly 30% of us live in poverty. For immigrants, poverty rates are nearly 40%, for African Americans its over 45%, and for single women its nearly 55%.

Newly elected mayor Betsy Hodges and many on City Council pledged to make closing the racial equity gaps -- in education, housing, healthcare, and jobs -- their highest priority. Let's hold them to this pledge by demanding living wage jobs for all as part of a wider equity agenda.

Join our call on Minneapolis City Council to apply all its powers, including expanding the living wage ordinance, to ensure every worker in the city receives a minimum of $15/hr. We're urging the Mayor and Council to publicly endorse national calls for a $15/hr minimum wage.

The fight to raise Minnesota's minimum wage to $9.50/hr must be the beginning, not the end, of a wider movement to end poverty and ensure all workers earn a living wage.
