"Sport hunting and trapping of wolves in the Great Lakes region must end immediately, a federal District Court has ruled. The court overturned a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service decision that removed Endangered Species Act protections for gray wolves living in the western Great Lakes region, which includes Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin."

(31,893 posts)This is wonderful news! I just heard about it on MPR while I was driving home from work tonight.
This land is their land - surely there's a way to coexist with our wild brothers and sisters.

(14,807 posts)that also lived nearby. They would run across my property sometimes. I only saw them once all together. Wolves are afraid of people.
