I went to my first canvasing meet up ever in my life tonight.

It was pretty exciting. We are still in the very early stages, but I learned tonight that there are 35 people in the Meet up group and we are going to be connecting with other groups as well, the connections are already starting. The group I am in will be meeting on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm, we haven't picked a venue yet. We are looking to accommodate 30 plus people and that isn't always easy to find. But, despite not having a lot of details yet, I would like to invite people to go to the Meet Up site http://www.meetup.com/Minnesota-for-Bernie-Meetup/ and if you are in the Twin Cities come to a meeting, we can win Minnesota for Bernie.

This has to be a people's movement outside of the system. I have been telling everyone I work with about Bernie and have flipped a few to our side. I have a family reunion this weekend in Indiana and I plan on spreading the word about Bernie there too. I admit, it's gonna be a tough sell in that state with some of my conservative relatives but, who knows I might flip a few more. Bernie has that appeal, if they listen, they will come. Keep planting Bernie seeds and they will grow.

Go Bernie!

We are going to canvas for the whole state of Minnesota and do our best to get people to get involved in their local areas as well.

show up at their caucus on March 1 and follow through the process (sometimes long and tedious) to get people elected to the national convention.

It's how Wellstone got elected! (Yes, that was a state race, but it all started with organizing and showing up at caucuses).

I haven't talked to a lot of people yet mind you, but the ones I have talked to are older and they like the idea of expanding medicare to everyone. And they like the idea of free college at least for 2 years, even my SO says that is a great idea and he leans right not as right as 4 years ago though.
