Has anyone heard the ads about Betty McCollum on AM 950?

They sound like an attack ad, but then talk about giving money to her. I don't know what to think.

The content of the ad is about her wanting to remove federal employment protection from Indian tribes, but that she received a lot of money from tribes.

I doubt it would be the Gaming Association dflprincess Sep 2015 #5
McCollum supports their efforts to ensure that federal employment laws do not apply to them. Brickbat Sep 2015 #7
Which is why I don't think they'd run an ad slamming her for agreeing that federal employment laws dflprincess Sep 2015 #9

Take a $5 bill, you know, the one with Abe Lincoln on it? Pin a note on it and send it...

With the clown background music, it sure sounds like an attack, but???

And I can never make out the "Paid for by blablablah, not affiliated with any candidate or campaign"

protections from the tribes. Is it an ad from the National Indian Gaming Association?

because, I assume, they'd be just fine with federal employment laws not applying to them.

It dawned on me that the crack about Lincoln being on the $5 is a reference to Lincoln freeing the slaves - though I may have spent too much time trying to figure that out. I assume they're implying that we can "buy Betty" by sending her money to offset what the tribes send.

I can't make out who the ad is by either and wonder if it's a labor group paying for it because I can see why they'd be upset about exceptions to the employment laws. Though it could be conservatives just trying to smear her. If it is conservatives you have to think AM950 must be really desperate for revenue to run it.

http://blogs.twincities.com/politics/2015/09/04/union-attacks-mccollum-over-tribal-labor-bill/

UNITE HERE, a labor union representing primarily service workers, is spending $10,000 on radio ads criticizing McCollum’s support of the Tribal Labor Sovereignty Act, which exempts Native American tribes and tribal casinos from federal labor laws.
